Description / Notes

The Claymine Low Mobility Trail will undergo fuel management work this fall. This work will maintain and improve the forest ecosystem, reduce wildfire threat and fuel loading, and create safer wildfire suppression opportunities. For safety reasons some areas of the trail will be closed during active falling. Please obey all signs and exercise caution. Work will begin in October 2021 and is scheduled for completion at the end of November 2021.

Located about 15 km west of Quesnel on Claymine Rd, the Claymine Low Mobility Trail meanders through lush forest around a large boulder deposited during the last ice age. There is an accessible outhouse and an information kiosk at the trail head, as well as an accessible picnic table along the trail. Wildlife and birds can be seen in the area around the trail. The trail is about 1km in length and winds around the boulder in a loop.
